Lachlan Ford is a Software Engineer based in Seattle

He is currently part of the XR organization at Google, and formerly part of the Microsoft Mixed Reality organization.

His main contributions have been to the design and development of open standards such as OpenXR and WebXR, as well as the implementation of such standards and system software in products such as HoloLens, Windows Mixed Reality and Chromium browsers.

Formerly he designed and developed interactive simulations and games at Smart Sparrow; A startup out of UNSW, Australia, intending to create adaptive e-learning experiences for higher education.
